At MacInnes, we believe the world of whisky cask ownership should feel open and welcoming. Since our story began in 2021, our goal has always been to make that world more transparent for every new customer intrigued by its possibilities.
Driven by decades of financial expertise and a passion for whisky, we care deeply about the centuries of craft poured into every dram. By sourcing single malts from renowned Scottish distilleries, we help seasoned collectors and those beginning their whisky journey discover the character, heritage and craftsmanship behind the world-beloved ‘water of life’.

Our founder Jonathan has over 35 years of experience in accountancy and financial services, from PwC to his own firm, Norwich Accountancy. He knows how much it matters to have access to clear information before making a decision.
It’s this ethos that underpins the MacInnes team. Inspired by a passion for whisky, we bring that attention to detail to the casks we source and the support we offer, helping customers understand what they’re buying and what ownership involves.

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to the world of whisky, we’ll guide you through our stock list and support you throughout your ownership. From the documents that identify your cask to storage arrangements and ongoing charges, we want you to understand the details as well as enjoy the story.
Whisky cask ownership is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. You will not have access to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the Financial Ombudsman Service. The value of a cask can go down as well as up and your capital is at risk. A cask is not a liquid asset and selling one may take time.
